Meet Steve Bass, Founder & President

Steve has been in the investment management business for over 35 years. Steve is also a veteran of the United States Air Force, has an MBA and earned the Certified Investment Management Analyst designation from the Wharton School of Business.

For 15 years, Steve worked as an investment research analyst for broker dealers.  In 2003, Steve started his own Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) firm and builds customized portfolios using individual stocks. Steve does his own research and does not accept any 3rd party compensation to influence his advice.

Steve’s investment philosophy: we cannot control politics, inflation, interest rates, the economy, the markets or how the herd will respond to negative events. But we can control the quality, costs and taxes of our investments, and our risk exposure to minimize the impact of negative events.

Steve has offices in Maryland and Florida, and uses Charles Schwab as his custodian for client accounts. Schwab has been in business for more than 50 years and is the largest custodian for RIAs with 380 office locations.
